11 Reasons Vehicle Wraps Are a Must-Have for Your Business Fleet
It doesn’t matter if you have one truck in your fleet or one thousand, every side of your vehicle offers you advertising space you might have overlooked. The next time you're out driving, or if you’re sitting in the passenger seat of your carpool stuck in traffic right now, take a look at the vehicles around you.
How many of them have wraps? We’d guess there are quite a few because wrapping fleets in ads is becoming more and more popular, and with good reason. Eleven good reasons to be exact. Let’s take a look at them one by one.
1. Use Space You Already Own
The cars and trucks in your fleet have two sides, and a visible back in many cases. Every time just one of these vehicles is out on the road, they will be seen by thousands of potential customers. Compare that to a fleet of ten with no wrapping and you can imagine all the missed opportunities slipping by daily.
2. Expand Your Visibility
Some statistics say that a single car wrapped in ads will be seen anywhere between 30,000 and 70,000 people. If you have ten vehicles, that number jumps deep into the six-digit range. That’s a lot of eyes looking at your vehicle, your slogan, and your promotion.
3. Extend Your Reach
When you rent a billboard or sign, it’s stationary. When you wrap your vehicles in advertisements, they move around as far as your services can reach your customers. You have to admit, you’ll reach more people, visually, with a moving billboard than with a stationary one. And you don’t have to rent the space because you already own it.
4. It’s Practical
When you consider lead generation from an advertising perspective, it’s difficult to deny that every time your fleet leaves the garage, there goes a missed opportunity for advertisement. You can wrap them once and it’s done. Then you have a moving ad for as long as you want. Some companies change theirs regularly to get the word out about new promotions,
5. An Opportunity to Be Creative
Wraps allow you and your advertising team to think of new ways to reach clients. Everyone drives a car. Well, most people drive cars. And even those who don’t walk down the street or take public transportation. How can you create a wrap that advertises your goods or services while your fleet moves around town? This is where your creative side can shine.
6. An Opportunity to Build Your Brand
Brand building is a key step to longevity when it comes to most businesses if not all. Who you are as a business should be recognizable to the local, regional, or national community, depending on how far your reach goes. Even if you have a brand established for decades, wraps will get people thinking about it when they head home from work.
7. Let Them Know Who You Are
Has your company received any awards or accolades? Get that up there on that truck! Maybe you have some great quotes from customers who weren’t only satisfied, they were extremely happy with their product and service. Put them in quotes up on the side of your trailer. It will stick in the minds of daily commuters.
8. Become Part of the Community
When your trucks head out to make deliveries, at first, it will catch people’s eyes. After a time, the neighborhood will get to know your fleet as a regular site. They’ll become accustomed to seeing your brand moving down the street, your company could become a household name in your community.
9. Protects Your Fleet
Wraps are also a sealant that protects the outside of your car or truck. Any potential damage from weather and everyday driving will be absorbed by the wrap. Then, all you have to do is change that wrap and the exterior of your vehicle will be just like new.
10. Spread Your Message or Mission Statement
If your company also wants to focus on getting safe drinking water to people who need it, you can include that on your wrap. When people are stuck in traffic they get bored, and many would appreciate seeing the smiling faces of that little league team your company sponsored last year.
11. Less Expensive than Most Advertising Mediums
Billboard ads can run up to the tens of thousands of dollars. A vehicle wrap costs a fraction of that and will be seen by more people. Plus, wraps are more versatile since changing them out for a new promotion won’t break the bank.
MAXIMIZE YOUR COMPANY’S ADVERTISING POTENTIAL

What is knifeless tape and why do we use it during the installation of vehicle wraps?
What is knifeless tape and why do we use it during the installation of vehicle wraps?
Knifeless tape is a vinyl cutting tool that uses a high strength filament, contained within a flexible application tape, to cut clean lines, through vinyl installed on a vehicle’s surface, without a blade.
The tape is laid down on the surface of the vehicle along the path that will be cut. The vinyl is then applied over the tape and the filament is pulled along the tape line. The filament cuts the vinyl and the tape is removed, cleanly, with no adhesive residue. It's a clever product that removes one of the most stressful aspects of vehicle wrap installation: cutting vinyl on the vehicle. It's great for those who desire a safer, easier method for cutting and finishing wraps.
The use of knifeless tape removes the need for a wrap installer to use a knife blade on a vehicle’s finish therefore preventing damage. There are different varieties, of knifeless tape, designed for different application aspects of vehicle wraps. When used properly, this tape, speeds up installation time, provides cleaner cuts and seams, and prevents damage to a vehicle’s finish.
At StandardWraps™ we utilize knifeless tape on all of our installations to provide the best quality product for your project.
